Guild Rules

All guild members must adhere to the following rules:

Table of Contents:

  1. Guild Ranks
  2. Guild Bank
  3. Guild Conduct
  4. Raider Conduct
  5. Performance
  6. Loot
  7. Reprimands

Guild Ranks:

Scout - This is the minimum raiding rank for newly accepted applicants (new recruits). These players will be higher on loot priority over 'Grunt' and 'Grunt Associate'. During their period as a 'Scout', 100% attendance is expected. Failure to maintain 100% attendance can delay your promotion or result in removal from the guild.

Note: New recruits will be up for potential promotion every two weeks. They will be evaluated based on performance, attendance, attitude, and their rank will be adjusted accordingly. If they are not chosen to be promoted, they will have a talk with an officer, and discuss what can be improved. If a new applicant is not promoted after two of these periods, they will be either made a 'Grunt' or removed from the guild.

Grunt - This is the rank for past raiders and friends of the guild that are not on the raiding roster. They will only be brought into raids if absolutely needed to fill a spot, and will be last on all loot.

Grunt Associate - This rank is for alternate characters of members in the guild. All main characters are considered for raids before alternate characters. Alternate characters will be removed from the guild, if their main leaves or is removed from the guild.

Stone Guard - This rank is for alternate characters of members in the guild who are raid ready with their toon. All main characters are considered for raids before alternate characters. Alternate characters will be removed from the guild, if their main leaves or is removed from the guild.

Legionnaire - This rank is for people on the raiding roster.

Champion - This rank is for people who raid with the guild frequently, have near perfect attendance, and have excellent performance. Players of this rank will also have increased guild repairs.

Blood Guard - A character with privileged access to the guild bank. These characters are responsible for stocking the guild bank and using their professions for guild services.

Note: Players with this rank DO have extra priority on profession patterns, they roll for patterns the same as officers. Refer to the 'Profession Patterns' section for more information on how raid drop patterns are handled.

Warlord - This rank is for officers of the guild. These people are involved in making and enforcing the guild rules. People of this rank are not except from the guild rules.

High Warlord - Held to the same standard as officers. This player is responsible for the overall goings in the guild.

Note: Promotions and demotions are done at an warlord's discretion. All members of the guild that are inactive for two or more months will be removed from the guild.

Guild Bank:

The guild bank is funded by the guild and is for the guild! You can deposit gold, materials, or whatever.

Depositing Items:

  • You can deposit whatever you feel like, as long as it is useful and an item of the current expansion. Blood Guards and Warlords will clean up the guild bank and move useful items to the appropriate tabs or even sell the item to a vendor/Auction House if they believe no one will ever need the deposited item.

Withdrawing Items:

  • Anyone can withdrawal from the first tab, although be generous and put useful items back in.
  • All items in the 'Guild Store' tabs can be withdrawn by players of higher rank. No payback is required, as these items are free. If you notice items that are low in stock however, please consult a Blood Guard or higher rank to restock those items, especially before the next scheduled raid.

Note: Should the guild bank reach a minimum of 50,000 gold, guild repairs will be lowered. This will be done until we have an abundance of gold that allows the guild to continue providing raiding materials for its members.

Guild Conduct:

  1. Treat your fellow players with respect inside or outside the guild.
  2. Always act in a way that will bring honor to the guild. No flaming, trolling, disrespecting members or behaving inappropriately, when utilizing chat communication inside or outside the guild. This includes playing music in guild voice chat.
  3. Guild Members shall not ninja loot (steal loot that does not belong to them when it was looted incorrectly).
  4. No belligerent or malicious talk to a guild member. (Example: if you are mad at someone then do not start cursing at them or belittling them. Either step away from the game and take a break or take the matter up with an officer.)
  5. Any arguments/disputes shall not be aired in the Guild Chat or any public channel. These should be taken to an officer or handled in private.
  6. Guild Members shall not beg for money or items.
  7. Conduct yourself respectfully and maturely when in an event outside the guild. You represent the guild when doing those events.

Note: The above guild conduct applies to all members of the guild. Violation of the above rules could result in a rank demotion or removal from the guild. Rage quits, ninja-looting, and being an ass in PUGs CAN result in guild reprimand.

Raider Conduct:

Signing up:

We use the in-game calendar to schedule raids. Everyone should either accept or decline these invites, avoid answering "tentative" if you can. Real life can come in the way of raiding and that is understandable, in that case please write your absence in this forum. Note: Only the person who's character will be missing can post, no one can post on their behalf.

It is a requirement to update your raid availability when your schedule changes (click the link on the left when logged in). The reason we require you to keep your raid availability updated is for raid scheduling purposes, such as scheduling another raid day for progression or changing raid times to suit more people. Failure to submit or update your raid availability could result in lower guild rankings and removal from the raid team, without the chance of being promoted even if you meet the requirements.

Note: Signing up does not guarantee a spot.

Invites:

The raid leader and raid assistants will handle invites based on signups and needs. If you do not get an invite even though you signed up you will be considered for the next raid but still would not be promised a spot. Please always sign-up, it makes it easier for everyone. We will take players that have not signed up if needed, but if you continually fail to signup we will begin to find a replacement player for your spot to guarantee the raiding of the majority.

Before raids:

Always make sure you are prepared for the raid. This means that you have:

  1. Repaired your gear, you have brought flasks (or elixirs), potions and food. It is a requirement to be fully buffed during an entire raid (flask or 2 elixirs and buff-food), missing buffs will result in missing out on EP and you will be replaced in the raid.
  2. Time to stay till the end of the raid. If not, please either in-game mail the raid leader or whisper a warlord before invites.
  3. Read up on boss tactics and strategies. Note: It is not the raid leader's responsibility to explain the fight for you. The raid leader expects you to be familiar with the mechanics and to give you specific assignments depending on the fight.
  4. Fully gemmed and enchanted all your gear. The best possible gems and enchants are required.
  5. BigWigs Installed (Alpha Version Required. Right click BigWigs in Curse Client and select Alpha under 'Preferred Release Type').
  6. oRA3 Installed.
  7. EPGPLootmaster Installed.
  8. Be online and in Mumble 15 minutes before the stated raid start time (this is when invites go out).

Note: Failing to do the above things can and does lead to people not being able to roll for loot. We are not here to boost you through raids. We expect everyone to carry their own weight.

During raids:

Keep talk over Mumble to a minimum, do not interfere during combat unless it is highly needed, like telling that you got disconnected etc. During boss fights the only one's speaking/writing will be the raid leader or/and assistants.

If you for some reason need to go AFK please whisper the raid leader and afterwards tell the other players in raid chat. Again going Ninja AFK can and does lead to the offender not being allowed to roll for loot.

If you need to leave the raid whisper the raid leader as soon as you know what time, so he/she can have a replacement ready. If you need to leave right away please tell the reason to the raid leader if possible.

We want smooth and fun raids for everyone to enjoy, so please follow these simple guild rules. If everyone works together to follow these rules, more content will be cleared with ease. Wasting the raid leader's time will never be seen in a good light.

Other Raids:

Guild members that have a raiding rank cannot join a PUG or run with another guild when that run would possibly interfere with their group's schedule or boss progression. Any extra runs taking place after your group's scheduled runs are complete fair game. Previous tier content that is not actively run by the progression groups and raiders are free to get saved as they choose.

Scouts are expected to not get saved to ANY raid content prior to possible trial runs. These runs are generally used to test out new members before they are promoted to a raiding rank. After these runs are over, trials are free to join a PUG.

Performance:

Performance and attitude will be constantly evaluated by the officers throughout raid times. We strongly encourage all people on the raiding roster to focus on their own performance first before mentioning others', as it will help overall performance, and it is the officers' responsibility to monitor the performance of the raid group as a whole.

Officers will be reserving the right to have a broad definition of good and bad performance, as specific numbers change depending on class, role, and encounter. Basic performance will be evaluated based on numbers, situational awareness, and via various raiding tools such as World of Logs. When officers find that a raider is not performing adequately, there will first be a meeting with said raider, outlining the issues we think that person has, and also what we recommend the person do to improve their performance. If the person's performance does not improve their performance in a manner noticeable to the officers within two raid weeks, that person will be demoted one rank. Demotions may continue until that person is at the 'Grunt' rank, however there will be no guild kicks based off of performance alone.

Loot:

We use EPGP (which stands for Effort Points Gear Points) to distribute loot in our raids. You earn EP by raiding and killing bosses and you earn GP when you win loot in the raids. The EPGP system works by a simple equation: EP/GP = PR, or simply put Effort put in divided by Won loot equals Priority for loot. It's very similar to DKP, basically the more you raid the more loot you'll be able to get. The difference here is that costs of items are constant, no one can get an item cheap and no one can spend several months worth of DKP on one item. All in all, it's designed to be more fair than DKP.

To be able to win any loot you have to download and install the addon EPGPLootmaster. Once installed you'll get a popup window during loot distribution that lets you pick Main Spec or Off Role for all eligible loot. It requires no setting up, default settings are fine. It's also highly recommended (but not mandatory) to install the regular EPGP (DKP Reloaded). This will allow you to view EPGP and PR values live in-game with the /epgp command.

Earning EP:

  • 2,500 EP per downing of a normal boss.

  • 5,000 EP per downing of a heroic boss.

  • 10,000 EP per first ever downing of a boss.

  • 500 EP per 15 min in a raid (This is also only EP awarded during a Flex Raid).

  • Raid leaders can give out extra EP at their discretion.

Earning GP:

  • You earn GP per loot that you win. The GP you earn is calculated specifically for your class/spec and the item slot. Go to EPGPWeb to learn more about it.

  • Once you have won an item you cannot remove the GP you have earned. Please think about your looting options beforehand and get the items you know you need.

  • Off Role* rolls are free (cost 0 GP), however Main Spec always have priority over Off Role. Off Role gear will use an open roll policy, the /roll provided by EPGPLootmaster will be used to determine the winner. It is also up to the master looter to make a judgment call regarding active off roles vs less active off roles. If we for example have a dps/healer who really does use both roles often, that person will be prioritized for his or her off role over someone who has an off role they never use.

*Off Role differs from Off Spec because it allows that player to fill a different role in a raid, than their current Main Spec. Those that cannot perform an Off Role do not get gear free for their Off-Spec. Example: A paladin healer can perform a dps or tank off role, where as a Mage cannot do anything but ranged dps.

Loot priority:

  1. Main Spec - Warlord/Blood Guard/Champion/Legionnaire/Stone Guard (they are last, but before 2)

  2. Main Spec - Grunt/Grunt Associate/Scout

  3. Minor Upgrade - Warlord/Blood Guard/Champion/Legionnaire/Stone Guard (they are last, but before 4)

  4. Minor Upgrade - Grunt/Grunt Associate/Scout

  5. Off Role - Warlord/Blood Guard/Champion/Legionnaire/Stone Guard (they are last, but before 6)

  6. Off Role - Grunt/Grunt Associate/Scout

  7. Transmog - This is an open roll amongst anyone, but this option will only be in effect when content is on farm and the guild bank is not in need of enchanting materials.

  8. Disenchant

  • You need a minimum of 30,000 EP before rolling on any item. This is roughly the equivalent of one raid; this goes for all ranks. However, if no one else needs the item, you can still get it.

  • Minor upgrades cost only 25% GP of the original GP cost but you are only allowed to roll "minor upgrade" if it's actually a minor upgrade. If you roll minor upgrade on an item that is actually a Main Spec roll, your roll will be ignored. What is considered a minor upgrade? Something of the same item level as the currently equipped item (This factors the base level of the item, ie before upgrades).

  • Alternate characters are tied with the main character they represent (basically, all toons are tied to the same person). Alternate characters, with the 'Stone Guard' rank, are on the same tier as 'Warlord/Blood Guard/Champion/Legionnaire/Stone Guard' and when they successfully win gear items, the GP cost will only be 10%. Alternate characters will receive loot before players of the 'Scout' rank. The 'Stone Guard' rank will receive loot before the 'Grunt' and 'Grunt Associate' ranks.

Outsiders:

  • All PUGed raid members will do a /roll against the raider who would have won the item as per the EPGP loot system. The winner of the roll wins the item.
  • If a PUGed member repeatedly joins us weekly for raids, they will be added to the EPGP system using an alt character in our guild to keep track of loot and EPGP charges. These players will receive the same priority as the 'Legionnaire' rank and all charges will be handled via the loot system. They will be held to the same standards as a guild member.

Standby list:

  • When there are more people around than the raid needs, we would not be able to fit everyone in the raid. Raiders who did not get invited when the raid was created can whisper the master looter to get put on the standby list. Those who wish to get standby credit must whisper after every EP awarding (this is to ensure you are still there).

  • While on the standby list you will earn half of the EP everyone else is earning, who is in the raid. This is a reward for being at the Raid Leader's disposal for whenever someone in the raid disconnects or has to leave for whatever reason.

Decay:

  • EP/GP decays by 10% every week (usually after the Tuesday reset, but before the first scheduled raid of the week). The reason for this is to avoid EP hoarding and to ensure that the most current raiders are always prioritized. You should not be able to leave for a few months, come back for one evening and win all the loot. Also, since the GP decays as well (at a slightly faster rate than EP) you will see your PR ticking back up after winning a piece of loot.

  • Every new tier of content, EP will be decayed by 90% and GP will be reset completely.

  • Every new expansion, all EPGP values will be reset completely.

Viewing EPGP values:

  • You can view EPGP values on the 'Raid Tracking' link above or in-game using the EPGP (DKP Reloaded) by typing /epgp.

Addons:

  • EPGPLootmaster - Everyone is required to download and install this. This will show you special loot frames when we are distributing loot in a raid. It does not require any setting up, just install the addon and you are done.

  • EPGP (DKP Reloaded) - This is for viewing everyone's EPGP values in-game and GP values on item tooltips.

Legendaries:

  1. Legendaries are a reward for guild service. Legendaries will NOT be awarded because its loot and will help progression.
  2. Person has 85% overall raid attendance, an active raider, and who delivers every raid, without constant AFKs.
  3. Person who will be rewarded legendaries will have the guild help them. Example, all the required shard element will go to that person first.
  4. A person will only receive a legendary if they show no signs of moving guild, server switching, or quitting WoW. We want those that obtain legendaries to stay within the guild and benefit the guild.
  5. Once one person has a legendary, other players will be eligible for said legendary and so forth down the line. There will be no assigned list, as candidates can change at any time. Such changes can happen from attitude, while helping the 1st person get their legendary, to attitude in raids, performance, and attendance.
  6. Warlords make the ultimate decision in who is awarded legendaries. People will not be voted upon and no one, but warlords have a say in the matter.

Profession Patterns:

  1. The guild will purchase patterns that Warlords and Blood Guards do not have. These patterns will only be purchased, if there is a use for them and more than one person will benefit from the guild buying them.
  2. Plans that drop in raid will go to 'Warlords' and 'Blood Guards'.
  3. Once all the Warlords and Blood Guards in the group have the plan, then it will eligible for rolls by raid members with the max level profession.
  4. If no one in raid can learn it, the pattern will go to the guild bank and is eligible for purchase.
  5. If plan is Bind-On-Pick Up and no one has that profession in the group, that plan will be ignored.

Reprimands:

Any raider who does the following may be disciplined according to the penalty system (below):

Infraction:

EP Penalty:

70,000

Disrupting raid and preventing it from continuing on.

70,000

If a standby raider is called in to raid, but is found to be away while still on the EPGP award system.

35,000

Coming to the raid late without prior warning.

17,500

Failure to keep your raid availability updated (Refer to this page to check when your last update was made -only needs to be updated if your raiding schedule changes).

17,500

8,750

Failure to sign up for raids or AFKs during raid without consulting an officer or raid assistant.

8,750

Posting damage meters in raid or guild chat (exception is if requested by an officer, raid leader, or raid assistant).

8,750

Note: EP is awarded/started 15 minutes prior to raid start time. All raid groups will have predetermined and set break times. These breaks will last no longer than 5-10 minutes. Raiders will know of these breaks well ahead of time. This will allow raiders to plan for their breaks. As a general rule, breaks will usually occur one hour into raiding, from when the first mob is pulled.

Additional raid reprimands are at the discretion of the raid leader, for example deducting EP for certain raid failures. The raid leader must announce these failures and the EP charges associated before the start of an attempt, not during an attempt. Note: If the raid leader does this, not all offenders may be charged, but those that had a more profound effect on wiping the raid.
